About this rodeo

Farm-City is a four-performance PRCA rodeo built around Eastern Oregon’s agricultural identity and run by a local volunteer organization. Its competition format gives timed-event athletes two head of livestock: an afternoon slack run and a second run during that night’s performance or the slack that follows. Roughstock remains a one-ride night event, while earnings count toward contestants’ National Finals Rodeo ambitions. Founded in 1988, the Hermiston rodeo also marks its nights with family, youth-and-agriculture, first-responder and high-energy themes. A separate Chute Eight dance club carries the evening beyond the final bull. Although staged alongside the Umatilla County Fair, rodeo admission remains its own ticketed experience.
