About this rodeo

The 2026 Cochrane Lions Rodeo is a four-day Labour Day weekend celebration marking the event’s 60th edition. Friday is a free community day with a ranch rodeo, barbecue, and country concert; the main rodeo performances run Saturday through Monday, with Retro Day, Make-A-Wish Charity Day, and Veterans Day giving each date its own identity. Competition spans roughstock, roping, barrel racing, and youth events such as mutton busting, mini broncs, and wild pony racing. Beyond the arena, the grounds add a kids zone, an indoor Western market with more than 60 vendors, food trucks, draws, and a daily beer garden.
