About this rodeo
Springhill PRCA Rodeo is a three-night open-air professional rodeo in northwest Louisiana, returning September 17–19 for its 74th annual edition. Grand Entry begins at 7:45 p.m., with gates opening an hour before the first event. The nightly card covers eight disciplines: bull riding, bareback riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc and ladies breakaway roping. The organizer expects ten participants per event and about 80 contestants each night, drawing riders from the United States, Canada and Australia. Its defining claim is continuity: Springhill presents itself as Louisiana’s largest and longest continuously running rodeo, pairing a long local tradition with a full modern PRCA program.
