Owyhee County Rodeo

About this rodeo

Owyhee County Rodeo is a three-night Homedale program that combines professional roughstock and timed events with contests tied closely to the surrounding community. The 2026 card includes open breakaway alongside bareback, saddle bronc, bull riding, steer wrestling and roping. Pre-rodeo additions give it a local stamp: mutton busting for ages five to seven, steer riding for ages eight to thirteen, a wild horse race and local team roping whose residency rule reaches Owyhee County school districts plus Jordan Valley and Adrian. Founded in 1946, the rodeo has become a long-running local fixture. Thursday also distinguishes itself with lower admission and free entry for veterans and military members.
