About this rodeo
Ellensburg is a five-day Labor Day weekend PRCA rodeo whose Saturday program adds a separate Xtreme Bulls Tour stop with a $118,000 purse. The main rodeo presents all seven PRCA events, progressing from opening performances to Monday’s championship finals; the 2026 schedule also places it alongside the Kittitas County Fair. This is an enduring event founded in 1923, not a newly assembled festival rodeo. A particularly local marker is the Yakama Nation’s horseback entry into the arena and traditional dance opening each night, while its encampment sits at the adjacent fairgrounds. Fair admission is included with same-day rodeo tickets.
